Another new signing for Rovers and potentially a very exciting one.

Article from a couple of years back;

Well done, not enough overseas players in your 2012 squad as yet. Needs at least 1 more

Looks to have only played about four times for the Knights, what's gone on there then?

Only twenty one.

Where's our official NRL Information Master roopy?

And what nationality is he?

He's only 22 and he'll qualify for England on residence in a few years.
:wink:

It's been in the RL press apparently, so I won't merge it (this does not represent a precedent :) ).

If this is true I don't think we can sign a another overseas player (nett, at least - we'll have to release to recruit).

I like the look of him - I can see us being a bit more expansive/entertaining next year.

I agree, I'd like to see us name an all but English 18-man squad.

It's just ridiculous isn't it. Born in Auckland, New Zea, er, Samoa.

I'm not really all that bothered about overseas numbers, I tend to agree with Mild Rovers view that it's not necessarily directly linked to the quality of the home nations teams, but this is just silly now.

Does this mean McDonnell is no longer coming?

Now, that really isn't on. If you do it another seven hundred times I'm going to have to give serious consideration to issuing a firm caution.

Don't think he's that bad a player (T Martin) and feel a bit sorry for him - it is the unrealistic level of expectation and constant chiding for signing journeyman Aussies that is amusing. Which isn't his fault. He'll do a job for them. Certainly offers more than Gleeson was.
