My bathroom leaked now my dinning room light (underneath the bathroom) does not work, nor the lounge light..I would like them repairing and new light fittings fitted, also one of the light switches on my stairs does not work.

Thanks Mods.

Have all the problems occurred since the leak or was some not working already, do you have a fuse box (wire fuses) or a consumer unit (little trip switches).

I was only joking about it being expensive, that's what rogues say, innit. Would be hard to say what the problem is without looking at it, what area are you in?

Problem occured after the leak tbh it was several months ago however I never use the main lights (I like soft lighting, lamps) plus I knew we would be decorating and decided to get it sorted when I was going to replace the lighting.
We have old fuse box (wire), Jon tried replacing the fuse wire when it happened no joy, i refuse to let him do any-thing else, he thinks a screw driver is a crow bar
I live Sutton Park the far side near Asda.

The light switch on your stairs, how many lights does it do, 3? And is it just a plain white one?

Sounds a bit dodgy this; PM me times someone will be home and a contact number. I'll get an address from you later.

 the lightswitch was the part that didnt fit in, the loop has probably burnt out in the dining room light (this is a problem with the old fuses) and that feeds the lounge. Providing there is enough cable spare in the ceiling to cut back the damaged cable then just changing the dining room light will repair your problem.
