to take our mind of the dross we are watching at the moment IF you can see into the future say 5 to 10 yrs time what would you like to see me maybe win the grand final our at least make the final beat hull again at wembley and the best would be to have just about every player born local is it to much to ask

I would like to loose this obsession that a lot of our supporters have with beating FC (they are no better or worse than any other side) I like the banter with mates but thats all it is & as a supporter of both clubs I would like to be in the finals with them. A team of local lads would be great but there are not enough local lads playing the game, Up to the 80,s every school in Hull had a side in every year from age 10 upwards, now kids dont play in the streets on an evening they only play in organised sides at week ends. Its not just league that suffers from this but all sports now. Itr is the main reason that despite the cash British sport is way behind the rest of the world. |

I did a quick straw poll at a national conference match between two Hull clubs & only 7 of the players out of 34 actualy went to watch the pro clubs regular(dont know how typical it is) some dont even watch thier own side if they are not playing. A lot of us fans if we had the skill or in my case were 40 years younger as well would play for free. But there are just not enough kids playing to get the class of player we need today. As I have posted both codes of the game suffer from the same problem. |
