That said, Chris Bridge has looked fantastic will ball in hand recently and is on another level to Welham defensively.
Michael Shenton was outstanding on his only Four Nations start last year and in the Four Nations Final the year before. He deserves another chance following a sound rather than spectacular start for St Helens.
Then there is the in-form Leroy Cudjoe and Ryan Atkins in the squad...so Welham's (or Yeaman's) omission is hardly 'glaring'!
