Post subject:  Haworth Park Fire................

During the period of time between Thursday evening 2nd June and early hours of Friday morning, some mindless individual/s took it upon themselves to set fire to the Haworth Park Sports facility and in doing so caused the needless destruction of the club house, kit and equipment. For what reason one can only imagine. Childrens teams are operated from this club and apart from the upset and turmoil it has caused them,it has set the club back years financially in what is a hard time for all financially.

I have started this thread for two reasons, firstly in the hope that the perpetrator is caught and brought to justice and secondly that the business community of Hull could see their way to offering us assistance either in the form of tradesmen to help rebuild or financial support in order for us to replace playing kit, balls, bottles, bags & shields etc.

If any of you are genuinely interested in helping the club get back on its feet, I have all the contact numbers needed.

Thanks for your time.

That is indeed not a nice thing to hear about.
Can I please request that this thread is kept clean of the usual suspect unless they can offer help.
Thankyou.

Really sorry to hear about this as I know how much hard work has gone into that place by Karl and his family. I'm not a tradesman so have no skills or equipment to offer, but I hope you get a good response to this and that the club is soon back up and running.

The roof is been rebuilt but its just the smaller things thats ripped the heart out of the club, the kids kits, post pads, tackle bags, sheilds all burnt to a crisp, so upsetting.

Who ever did this is a total loser and do's not understand the effort teams like HW park put into community rugby this is a bitter blow to them and I hope the person or persons responsible with be caught and justice is done.

If the club set up a justgiving page or similar, I'd be happy to make a donation.
