Still a nice kid but and a massive but, how is this seen as progress?
Is the market that small now?
Still as long as we let Briscoe go
Yep.
Having a player like Netherton in the squad, isn't a problem for me. Wins the floor and that (did that sound like I know what I'm on about? ). Having 2 or 3 players like Netherton is excessive, and I hope we get a bit more punch from elsewhere.

Netherton is less than sub-standard for SL and as much as I love the fact that you'll have to put up with him for two more seasons, I really don't undertsand what your lot are thinking.
THANK YOU Mr. PEARSON, FOR RIDDING US OF FCKWIT FUBAR, CEO TOOL AND THE STINKING UNCLE KATH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
WHY DON'T THE DOBBINS PLAY IN GREEN SHIRT, GREEN SHORTS AND GREEN SOCKS IN ORDER TO EXPRESS THEIR INFINITE ENVY OF EVERYTHING BLACK AND WHITE??

Big Pedro is on his way from Aus....You heard it here first!!!
Sorry thought I was Cabby for a minute there!!
Seriously though Jase is a good squad player but I do agree is played too much when other options are available. Saying this though Morgan likes players who stick to a game plan and do not deviate at any cost or scinario. The safe rugby we play is ideal to players like Netherton but this kind of rugby will never win a trophy. The teams that win things are generally the ones who are going to risk big plays and do quirky plays that border on the cheeky and disrespectful.
With Dobson, Green and Murrell possibly even Fisher we have some excellent 40/20 kickers and touch finders yet we have only kicked 2 all season. Along with this why do we (or anybody else for that matter) not try a kick from a 20mtr restart? Wingers generally do not drop back and it could start your set off on or around half way (In Danny Brough's case on the oppositions 10mtr line!!!), it just seems like a rule that was brought in to offer that risky but beneficial tactic but coaches are too concerned about percentage rugby to give it a shot. Surely by getting rid of promotion and relegation this kind of tactic should/could be employed more accross the league to make it a bit more interesting??
After all that though our club can not really be done for not trying to bring big exciting names to Craven Park. How many internationals or players that are hot property do we have? How many have made the team of the year and won other indevidual awards? Our players are an exciting bunch being forced to play un-exciting rugby league and that is where the problem lies. Bring in tackle busting, offloading, hard hitting props all we like, fact of the matter is after 3 or 4 games each and every one of them will be doing exactly what Jase Netherton does.

I cannot believe we haven't saved such momentous news for Monday after we lose on Sunday.
Let's hope Netherton can now afford some razors, the scruffy get.
If there is no struggle, there is no progress. Those who profess to favor freedom, and yet depreciate agitation, are men who want crops without plowing up the ground. They want rain without thunder and lightning. They want the ocean without the awful roar of its many waters. This struggle may be a moral one; or it may be a physical one; or it may be both moral and physical; but it must be a struggle.

All squads need solid reliable players, which Nev is, OK, he is never going to score a 50 yerder or play for England, but he is a good squad player and if its 20-16 to us with 10 minutes to go on Sunday, there isn't a better lad to have on the park IMO.
