Very happy with the two points but it still wasn't a great performance. Our finishing in the first 60 mins I thought was pretty impressive, after that once the game was won we seemed to want to score off every play instead of been patient. Welham was excellent, ran some great lines and saw alot more ball I thought than usual. Briscoe I thought looked good to after his long lay off. On the other hand, too many silly penalties conceded again, far too many errors with ball in hand and some poor defence in our own 20m. |

Ball in hand I thought Rovers were good today, not brilliant but it looked like it was clicking for most of the game. Defensively we still look vulnerable, and a better, more composed side than Bradford would have scored another 2-3 tries. Briscoe brings a bit more organisation to the defence, but the most disapointing try we conceded was the hit & spin effort on our line in the 2nd half. We are still too soft in the forwards. I was also annoyed at the lazy marker defence who got pinged for not being square on a number of occasions yesterday. This was one area of the game which Silverwood was at least consistent. Still, I would have taken that before kick off and its something to build on for Friday at Salford. |

We won by a decent margin, ok Bradford where gash but we've lost to some gash teams this year so this was an improvement. small steps in the right direction will all go towards a better 2nd half to the year. Still think we'll struggle to make much of an inroad into the league but if we can get through Friday maybe we can build towards having a real go at the cup. |

Was saying at the game it's hard to imagine Bradford were world champions just five years ago. ![]() Credit to the 200-300 who gave their support yesterday though, bet all those finals and trophies from 97-05 seem a million miles away for them now. ![]() |

Yeah definitely. Also feel it's a sad sign of how far they've fallen - years ago they were getting 13,000-15,000 every home game with most people paying full price. People praising their crowds this season on the VT, but tbf a lot of clubs (ourselves inc) would probably get five-figures every game if we let people in for the equivalent of a fiver a match! ![]() |
