Post subject:  1985 John Player Trophy Final.
Just stumbled on the highlights of that glorious day in 1985 when we beat the neighbours in the John Player Trophy final.....

Find the highlights on a well known site. Sorry. R.B.A

To not only win with reletive ease,but also nil them was extremley sweet.

Was there but was only very young myself so what's other fans mermories of that day at a freezing,snow covered but sun-kissed day at Boothferry Park.

If you go on that well known site you will probably see lots of stuff we would rather not be connected with just in the links down the side, It isn't just about the main content you are looking at it is the whole site.

All i wanted to do was talk about an old game were the 'other lot' were stuffed to bring silverware to this club that i attended as a 7 year old.

It's obvious most on here are fans that jumped on the bandwagon since we were promoted to SL and haven't a clue about the glorious 84/85 season were we was in the running for every trophy on offer.

I'll give you bandwagon jumpers/new fans a clue...

First Division: Winners
Yorkshire Cup: Runners up
John Player Special Trophy: Winners
Challenge Cup: Semi-Finals
Premiership Trophy: Runners-up
