GATHERING STORM – THE DERBY
On the 23rd April a Fantastic painting created by local artist Rob Sutton will raise funds for The Steve Prescott Foundation, The Hull Foundation and Hull KR Education and Sport Trust
This great piece of Art is called The Gathering Storm – The Derby and signifies both sets of Rugby league fans uniting to the KC Stadium.
• The Original Canvass painting will be available on Ebay from the 23rd April to the 30th April. The proceeds from the EBAY auction will go to The Steve Prescott Foundation.
• Limited Edition print, one signed by the entire Hull Squad and one signed by the entire Hull KR Team will be raffled off to both sets of fans from the 1st May, the draw for the limited signed editions will be drawn at the Hull Derby on the 5th June. Raffle Tickets will be available from both club shops and from Rob Sutton 07847609177. The proceeds from the raffle will be equally divided between The Steve Prescott Foundation and The Hull Foundation for the Hull Painting & The Steve Prescott Foundation and Hull KR Education and Sport Trust for the Hull KR Painting.

Gathering Storm – The Derby is a painting I have had great enjoyment creating. For anyone who has had the privilege of attending one of Hull’s famous derby matches, will appreciate the stormy atmosphere, the tension and anticipation that build in the cauldron surrounding “The Derby”.
I am an avid rugby league supporter and could see no better backdrop to try and capture the atmosphere and pay tribute to both the game and the fans.
My art work is very personal to me and originals stay close to my heart; However good friends have a daughter currently receiving Cancer treatment at Christies. I could think of nothing else more fitting but to donate this piece to the Steve Prescott Foundation and its outstanding achievements in supporting both “The Christie” and “Try Assist”.
The piece is an Original Oil on Canvas 40”(101.5cm) x 24”(61cm)

This is a fantastic gesture from Rob. It is an incredible painting and captures the atmosphere of the Hull Derby. A gesture like Rob’s inspires me to carry on with my challenges and raise money for the people who supported me in my darkest hour. It is great that the picture that will benefit the youth of both clubs as well as the SPF. It took Rob 100 hours to paint, the depth and quality of his work is phenomenal. This painting is unique and would be pride of place in any Hull or Hull KR fans Dining Room.
