I'm coming by car for the first time to your place this week, can anyone offer any advice on where to/where not to park please?

Thanks in advance

If i were you i would park on the St Richards school car park and then walk down Preston Rd to the ground (5 min walk). It will make it far easier to get away after the game.
Come into Hull the way you normally would and when you come over the Marfleet Lane flyover you will see the school on your right hand side.

Head for the ground down Preston RD, where the dual carriage way ends (don't go through where the road narrows, "the give way to on coming traffic" doofer) carefully spin your car around heading back the way you came, now your on the same side as the ground, you'll see the old school and cars parked on the main rd (next to the white telephone box), if any spaces, park there, if not, just past the telephone box turn into the school, parking is £3. Park on the grass near and facing the entrance for a quick getaway. Ground is 1 min walk, 3 mins for away entrance to south stand.

5 Minute walk...What are you, a power walker. Add at least another 30 mins for the stop at the chippy. Well recommended. :ROCKS:

You have to be commended for making the trip on a friday hope you have a good journey and a good night, not too good though, as for parking I would agree with parking in the school, which is on the right after the flyover (you can see the ground to your right when passing over the flyover) before the Traffic lights at the crossroad, for an average ambler will take you 10 mins to walk to the ground from there.

Failing all that^ street parking is in abundance around CP. But being an away fan you should aim to keep to the west of CP to aid smooth/quicker get away. As is the case with all big sporting events, the earlier you get there the better the choices. (Preston Road west bound is as good as any)

Not wanting to 'upset any locals' here - but I wouldn't park my car on a night down the streets on the left if you come via Marfleet lane. Anyone park/live that area? Is it ok?

Mods - would a brief visitors guide/sticky help in the future? Leeds do one for instance and it's reet good

Soccer Sensations, adjacent to the ground
£2. Secure. Decent pint. 5's pitches for the kids to play on.
Head for the Main car park (the 1st entrance on your way in) but bear right just before the gate.
Signposted. Can't miss it.

Do they let you park where you like? We stopped using it cos getting there early we were always directed to the back which meant we were last to get out. We always park for free on Preston Road now.
