Rommel wrote:There's up to speed and effort- Mason was lazy v's Saints I think you have certain players that can put effort in without anybody else instigating it such as Ben Cockayne who may lack the finess of a great player but more effort than anybody. Then you have players that feed off others enthusiasm, people like Mason who I think would perform brilliantly in a side that was enjoying its rugby. Many Australians have come over here and had a quiet first season even though big hype around said player has put pressure on them. Then the second year has been amazing and although not happy that this may be the case with Mason I will happily give him the time and settling in period he deserves. That said many players around him have had settling in time and should be getting more grief than a new player!
