Post subject:  mason not up to speed

why do people exspect mason to be up to speed as soon as he came as he had not played for 6mths no body can not even superman which he is not so wait and see he will come good i hope :PRAY: :PRAY: :PRAY:

There's up to speed and effort- Mason was lazy v's Saints

I think you have certain players that can put effort in without anybody else instigating it such as Ben Cockayne who may lack the finess of a great player but more effort than anybody. Then you have players that feed off others enthusiasm, people like Mason who I think would perform brilliantly in a side that was enjoying its rugby.

Many Australians have come over here and had a quiet first season even though big hype around said player has put pressure on them. Then the second year has been amazing and although not happy that this may be the case with Mason I will happily give him the time and settling in period he deserves.

That said many players around him have had settling in time and should be getting more grief than a new player!

I've been looking forward to Mason getting here to get to see him in SL on TV. It narks me a little bit that some people just don't either appreciate or understand what some people bring to a team, kind of like all of the people knocking Blacklock and Kearney when they played for us. It's nice to be able to see genuine legends of the game playing in SL.

I think its more that people arn't realistic TBH.
Some folks thought Mason would make 20-30 meters everytime he took the ball up with about 5 players on his back.

maybe mason himself was the main culprit of thinking it would be a cakewalk
