A controversial player it has to be said, with the betting scandal in 2004 and now the recent allegations about his 'lifestyle', that said, on the pitch he is still a feared centre who is a proven scorer and provides many assists. I would not mind him in my team, clearly his off-field scandals go before him but you can't really argue with what he brings on the pitch. Anyhow, I would take him over Webster anyday.

The current situation he finds himself at Wigan surrounding his future and whereabouts are still unclear (though unconfirmed reports have said he's been spotted at a Tesco in Wigan :-D)

Would you take a punt on him, if he was 'sacked' or released by Wigan?

Got a rubbish hair style.

On a deal with disciplinary caveats (could I word that worse?) around behaviour then yes, I'd take him. Gleeson has been a quality player for years and seems to have got right back to his best (recent weeks aside) in the last eighteen months.

Not for me, good player but for the few years he has left & the money he would want I would sooner use youngsters from our area.

Not for me either - had enough of the type of players that put a bad name onto the club, dont need players that would disrupt things.
