Doesn't a championship club find out this month if they have being successful in gaining entry to the SL?

Championship clubs applying for a Super League licence will submit their applications to the RFL in December 2010. Provided one of the applications from the Championship clubs meets the minimum criteria, the successful Championship club receiving a Super League licence will be announced in March 2011.

Super League clubs intending to apply for a licence will submit their applications by April 2011. The remaining clubs joining the initial successful Championship club in the Super League for 2012 will be announced in July 2011.

Yes, 31st March for your first question and sometime in July for your second 8)

Still plenty of time for some winks and handshakes.

Or for that website to change and RFL to claim it never existed.

Widnes should get to hear the good news later this month. The bad news will be delivered to Wakefield 4 months later. One can only assume its a postcode issue.

I was hoping for Wakefield and Harlequins to both hear bad news. Think Harlequins current run of form has certainly expunged any doubts about them not staying in SL.

Quins are certainly giving their critics one in the eye with their performances. I don't have a problem with them to be honest, just their total lack of marketing. They are certainly developing talent from the South of England. I think a more central London location would help their cause immensely.

Personally, I'd also keep Wakey, I like them. Get rid of Salford, they have done nothing of note in the last 15 seasons in SL (apart from one well-timed relegation campaign in 2007!). That is now unlikely due to the stadium actually being built.

Home crowds of 1700 is ridiculous. There is a massive Australian community in London they could and should be tapping into this market..
