I don't know if any of you guys follow Andy Wilson on Twitter- I reckon he might be pulling legs here, but he says that Willie Mason has replaced Dobson on quota after his Tongan passport fell through...probably just winding things up I imagine. Thought it was worth a mention though...

Yeah just heard it on the radio, it says that to enable Mason to play on Sunday, they are having to temporarily deregister Dobson but he will be reregistered by the time he is fit again, its because they are waitng for Willies final clearance with his Tongan passport.

bit of a difference though , don`t you think
.
At the present time, the club awaits final clearance on Willie's Tongan passport which is anticipated in the next few days.
In the circumstances, Michael Dobson has been de-registered to free up a quota place.
Once Willie's passport formalities are completed and Michael Dobson is again fit to be selected, he will be re-registered.
The club will be making no further comment on this matter.
....
this will have all the rumour mongers starting up again lmao

Not really worrying but what will happen if Mason doesn't get his passport when Dobson returns? Can hkr de register another player or will it have to stay Dobson?

What's the difference between "terminating a contract" and "de-registering a player"?

My main concern would be that if he has been temporarily terminated, he would be a free agent and could therefore sign for anybody else (with a free quota space of course). Bit worrying.
