The Castleford game was a chance to see some of the lesser established players show their worth. Scott Murrell had a great game and had it not been for a couple of missed timed passes we would have been 24 points up at half time. Liam Watts played long minutes and was all over the place Scott Wheeldon was our best forward and looked very fit. Scott Taylor did very well, made a couple of line breaks and some big hits in defence. Craig Hall was great in defence and the way he picked that ball up to score was class. The half backs looked alot better with a full week together and with the added beef up front with Mason. Clinton and Lovegrove all back this week we are looking very strong. Webster is itching to get back on the pitch and another week of training under their belt, Murrell and Green will click I am sure. The concern is the players trying too hard.....Cockayne, Fox, Hodgson all making mistakes. Briscoe, Colbourn and Welham needs to step up and be counted and I think we have the making of a really good team without Dobson. Dobson 7 weeks to go and at least one game in the Challenge Cup. |

Agree with most of what you say mate, but i still would have rather seen Bell at 7 and Murrell at 13 but everyone has their opinion on that. Also i think Colbon played well, made some good yards. |

Also i think Colbon played well, made some good yards. Really, have you seen him play? or have you just read what the Hull Daily Mail wrote about our junior "prospects". I've seen him play 3 times and thought he struggled against boys, so I highly doubt he would match up against men. IMO he will not make it as he is not good enough. |
