Is he Don Robinson in disguise? He is just typical of a ruthless, successful business man used to getting his own way, not getting his way and kicking up a fuss to get his way. He is now starting to show his true colours as he knew the situation regarding the ground when he bought the club. He is just trying to shaft/blackmail the Council, who are on their uppers anyway, into selling at a knockdown price. He should remember that the Council built the stadium when the club were on their uppers and it was a catalyst to their road to success. As for for a merger.....stick to generators Mr Allam |

Everyone needs to chill. He doesn't want a merger as such, his main point was that buying Hull City was an easy decision in respect of the fact there is only one football club in Hull however Rugby League was a totally different matter as there are two clubs and he could not be seen to be favouring either club - so much so that he stated he's actually had talks with the Rovers board to tell them that we are welcome to use the KC should we ever want to which is a nice gesture IMO. Mr Allam's comments centre around fairness and that's more than we've seen from previous regimes involved in the city's sporting clubs and also the council in the past. The guy has shelled out £40M of his own money into saving one of our city's sports clubs and I think the guy deserves a little more respect IMO. |

He also said this city is not big enough for two rugby clubs yes fair enough about not seen to be favouring Fc and giving them but I got the impression he wants an empire and control, I can see were he is coming from with regards the ground to hull city he won't put any more money in to it, at end of the day rovers have no connection to the KC or hull city and a merger would never happen. |

If Hull ever get ourselves in gear and get back to where we where in 2005/2006 we'd be averaging 15K+ I'm really concerned about Allam, as he seems to be publicity hungry (doing all his 'negotiations' via the HDM) and all 3 clubs in the city have had bad experiences with boards/chairmen promising the world and it all ending in administration. As much as I and others slate Kath and co at times, the financial health of HullFC has been the best it ever has in the last decade. |
