Hi. Just heads-up about a new retro shirt been produced, a great-looking version of the 1983-85 Savoy Tyres shirt:

New retro shirt website launching tonight (www.relix.eu), apparantly they had good feedback when they had someone wear it for the game at the weekend. :)

It's the Bridgestone Tyres logo, same as the players shirt used to have back then. :) If you check out the website they are also adding the traditional crest to the right chest. About £35 (+ P&P I assume) to pre-order at the mo. :)

Might be tempted by that Roofington, never a big fan of the red and blue combo but a Centenary shirt might be a goer. I also like the way they're contributing to the Aussie tour.

Have you been involved in getting this going?

Should crest not be on the LHS of the shirt as shown in the photo below of the great Gary Prohm?.

Nah not this time mate. I tried looking into it with Octopus Sport (same company who did the Hanson White one in 2006) about a year or so ago but they couldn't get it going at the time e.g. cos the club weren't really into the idea, but now they seem to have thankfully seen it's potential. :) So anyway nothing to do with me this time, all credit Relix.

Look at that, poetry in motion. When men were men and all Rovers players had 'taches!

Yes and no I think - obviously it's on the LHS there, but on the replicas at the time the Frog logo was on the left, so with having both on now you obviously have to have one out of place, but IMO it's great that they're putting both on rather then just one or the other. :)

The supporters jerseys were all long sleeved as opposed to the players 3/4 sleeve. The club badge was on the left on the players jersey, however the supporters jersey was as the retro. The single stripe down the sleeves is to avoid any conflict with Adidas. We sent an original supporters jersey to get copied. Material is as the supporters jersey ie a soft cotton as opposed to the players heavy cotton material. It looks really smart, even if I say so myself.
