I don't really go in for autobiographies/biographies much, particularly sports peoples (you should never meet your heroes) as they tend to be awful. However, I've heard good things about Tawera Nikau's. Fabulous player. Out of those you've listed, I've only read Stan's, which I did enjoy, mainly from the way it was written and the culture shock he suffered coming over here and Radlinski's who was a player I really admired, but, bejesus, that was one terrible book; "Went to training, won a trophy, got lashed", repeat ad infinitum. |

Tawera Nikau's - Cant seem to get it online; heard its a good read myself, but not paying over the odds like amazon want. Agreed on Stans - Its the culture change thats shocking, insightful and funny. Radz - one of the worse books i have ever wasted my time on. Longy - Funny as f**k; theres no wonder hes injured all the time now - absolutely ruined himself getting tramp drunk in his 20s; one of the funniest books ive ever gone through. |
