Signed a new 5-year contract with Wigan. Clearly seen as an important player for them in coming seasons. Wouldn't be surprised to see him play for England in the not too distant. They've got both the older Tomkins tied down to long-term deals too - going to be the team to beat in the next few years, IMO. |

Quality player. Loved his time at Rovers and performed outstandingly well. |

Only wish Wigan had given us the chance to sign him before he played for us. He was outstanding for us and will be a big player for both Wigan and England in the future |

Hull have shown over the years players can still be bought out of contracts. We obviously decided we have enough depth in this position and hopefully we'll bring through our own Charnley in the coming years. |

Tomkins yes it would cost a great deal however Charnley as a winger is probably not such a high priority and the cost would reflect his position. Either way now he is on a 5yr contract which shows Wigan class him as a major part of their future. |
