Rovers obviously want our kids to learn the HKR ways and have a successful academy structure but would our youngsters like Kristian Bell learn more playing in Championship 1 with Workington? Beaumont and Taylor too could maybe go on an innitial one month then week to week deal and would a dual contract be an option? With this partnership it really gives our younger players an option of playing in a rough, tough division or playing in an academy set up that maybe doesnt give them the same experience of taking big hits? |

I would deffo send Rich Beaumont on loan to Workington because i dont know what benefit he will get playing under 20s anymore. The younger players in the squad such as Bell, Sherriff etc i would be tempted to keep in house for a bit longer. They will benefit more at the minute staying amongst our senior pros and playing under 20s. I suppose later in the season an agreement could be struck whereby they train with Rovers during the week and head up to Cumbria on a friday if Justin thinks they are ready for first team action. The players i would be tempted to send would be the likes of James Green and Nathan Powley to see how they handle first team rugby. The sticking point there is obviously their part-time status. |

have been under the impression that KR very rarely send out their acadamy players out on dual loans.how many have there been in the last 2 years since it came in? having watched the reserves and 20s a good number would have benefited and would probably still be at the club. the 20s league last year was terrible. |
