The Australian John Dorahy played for the Rovers between 1983 and 1987, made 94 appearances and scored 603 points.
Next week he will be returning for a short visit to these shores and will be present before, during and after the game against Salford. He is hoping to meet many old friends and also sign copies of his biography called "Calm In The Cauldron. A Rugby League Journey". It is a warts and all account of a career that spanned both sides of the world and lasted for over thirty years and is a book that will be enjoyed by many rugby league fans. It will soon be on sale in the club shop.

I'm not a big fan of autobiographies generally, but I'm quite interested in this. Is it (honestly) any good?

I really need to get round to reading your books, are they on Amazon?

i read it last week while on holiday, a lot of the content was regarding aus in the early years, al in all, well worth a read. sounded like he really enjoyed his time in england, especially with hull kr. he played all the way through the year too, here in winter, then back to aus for a season!!

The foreword to the book has been provided by Colin Hutton. He wrote that "I consider it a privilege to be invited to contribute this foreword to what I am sure will be a fascinating book and I for one can't wait for the opportunity to read it."

As regards my four novels (more details on my web site http://www.geofflee.net) two are also on sale in the club shop. Interestingly they include stories based around when I worked as a draughtsman at Mysons on Hedon Road and Reckitts in the early seventies.
