Big brave Adrian Morley is heading home with a sore arm. But lets not be worried the injury prone Carvell is on his way. We are doomed. ![]() Would like to have seen young Watts out there and I understand he was infront of Carvell if not injured. Still there is 1 true Hull player out there and he is the best player in Hull.....Dun, dun der Tom Briscoe with an E. Tom played hide and seek last time out (which he won) this time he will be playing knock the head off the donky which he is odds on to win. ![]() |

Good to see cross city rivalry not getting in the way of national pride... ![]() Morely's got a pretty serious injury which is a shame and we'll no doubt get mullered by NZ and Oz but is seems your looking forward to it which I find hard to fathom. I personally don't think there's a better winger in the country than Briscoe even if he does play for 'them lot' and hope he does get an opportunity to turn it on next week. I'm afraid anyone who thinks fox should be in in front of him are fooling themselves as onhis performances this year he certainly didn't. |

Assuming we support England RL, Tom Briscoe is our player for the duration of the 4 Nations. I'm not massively optimistic, but every player in the squad has my best wishes irrespective of who they play their club rugby with. It's the off-season for HKR, so I see no reason why we can't have an O/T 4 Nations/England thread - but let's not turn into small-minded Rovers-Hull rivalry by proxy. |

its a shame to lose Morley, hes a big player for us. with regards to Tom Briscoe, the kid deserves to be out there, my only worry is his lack of pace, im talking about the break by Burgess against the Maoris, backed up by Shenton and there in the back ground unable to keep up was Tom Briscoe. |

The only wingers with real pace in Sl are Calderwood and Penny and neither can warrant a GB selection. |

Not knocking the kid, just think the Hull supporters and some on here think he is the MIGHTY one. I am how ever concerned how poor an England team we have. Then again, who could you take on tour that has been left behind? The wingers and centres are key for the Aussies and ours arn't good enough. With Morley out, only big Sam to put in any shots. I bet even Stan the man will be thinking of the win. Briscoe (with an e) will be singled out if he plays and to be honest he will be good at some point but not now. What odds on Westwood being the first to be sent off? |

This happened at least twice earlier this season vs France. Bridge was put into a big gap but when slowed to draw the full-back & position Briscoe for the walk in he was nowhere in sight. Don't think this is lack of pace though. Briscoe's not a flyer but he's no slouch either & certainly quicker than Bridge. I think it's his anticipation & reading of the game that are a bit suspect. |

Unfortunately with or without Morley i don't think it affects our chances a lot. If we beat PNG it'll be a bonus. |
