This game is the biggest game of the season for both teams. The cross city snipes have started and the fans are getting wind up after wind up already.

With a big event already booked in the city, the last thing the police needed was a real meaningful Derby.

The kick off is well into the beer hour and with all the families in the city listening to the festival it COULD boil over.

I hope no one gets hurt and the rugby league world can reflect on a great event and headlines of thugs scrapping are for the football pages.

Come on you REDS.............. :CHILL:

Fully agree with that sentiment (apart from the last bit, obviously). Potential to kick off is pretty high IMO with the time of the game. Hope we don't get any idiots causing trouble.

The potential to kick off is nonsence due to the fact that the teams have played at this time before at CP on a Saturday with nothing else to amuse them during the day.
If poop hits the fan then thats because of the 100 or so who want that not the 24,000+ who dont.
I love the Derbies but would never think of trouble and yet it has now entered my head that it should be a concern because of this thread!!!

Why mention this? It just adds fuel to a very tiny spark. Something positive for rugby league is happening next Saturday, but people always have to put a negative spin on it.

If some bell end(s) from either side decide to over step the mark, then it'll happen regardless of any threads put on here.

Not sure why the police should be concerned about the Freedom Festival - there won't be anyone at the Freedom Festival

As a neutral (& as a fan of a club not in the playoffs, thanks by the way ;-)). I cannot wait for this game. Both Hull derbies have been quality this year. This has potential to be one of the greatest in super league history. I hope all the talking points are from on the field from what should be a cracking game.

There has been no trouble to speak of at either of the previous derbies this season and I don't expect any on Saturday.
