Will be moving on at the end of the season according to his agent in the HDM Chev Walker is resigned to the fact he has to start over again. Howes, Walker's agent, admits the former Great Britain centre's career lies away from Craven Park after the 27-year-old was told his season is over. Walker broke his leg in the 44-8 play-off defeat at his former club Leeds last September and hasn't played since. There were hopes he would make a return last month, but an infection to his leg has ended his hopes of playing for Rovers again. It's not the end to his Rovers career Walker would have liked, and Howes admits the three years at Craven Park have been very frustrating for his player. "No player likes to be injured and Chev wanted to show the Rovers fans his talent," Howes said. "But it's been very frustrating for him. "Chev is preparing himself for a new chapter away from Craven Park. "Already there has been interest from Super League clubs and he knows he will be regarded as a project. "He is ready for a good pre-season and he has the mental strength to come back. "There will have to be incentives as it will be a year and a half since he last played a game. "He is ready for a new chapter and wants to show his appreciation to the KR fans at some stage." |

It's a shame, and unfortunately just one of those things. Every time the lad looked like hitting a bit of form, he got injured again. Best of luck for the future Chev. |

It is very sad. I hope he can eventually get back to being the player he was. I think his courage has earned him a lot of respect. |

Wish him all the best in wherever he ends up next. Hope he regains full fitness and returns to play top level professional rugby league and I hope we get the chance to say good bye ![]() |

Well you're not going to let something like that cause you to spill possession! Seriously tough hombre. Applauding the crowd from his stretcher. |

Massive shame he's not staying, I bet he's lost weight and would have got that deadly step back into his game. Watched some highlights of the 2005 Tri-Nations and he was in some great form playing in the back row. I get a feeling in my stomach that he's going to come back to Craven Park and score a few tries against us! |

Hats off to your club for telling him now to give himself time to get something sorted for next year. I'm sure Chev Walker will be back playing again at the same standard he did a couple of years ago. |
