Twenty thousand people in an enclosed space register higher on the decibel scale than ten thousand people in an open space.
And people say that Rugby League players are just big thick lads.
You were a good Rugby League player before you lost your leg weren't you Jake the Peg.
If there is no struggle, there is no progress. Those who profess to favor freedom, and yet depreciate agitation, are men who want crops without plowing up the ground. They want rain without thunder and lightning. They want the ocean without the awful roar of its many waters. This struggle may be a moral one; or it may be a physical one; or it may be both moral and physical; but it must be a struggle.

Just googled "stortsdrivell" to see what it is, alas nothing came up

Aye, fair play. I hold my hands up to having an inferior knowledge of Rolf Harris songs to people from the wrong side of The Chocolate River's tributary. Oh, the shame.
The acoustic point still stands.
Atmosphere is subjective, personally the atmosphere for me was better last week against Leeds, things in our end were fairly subdued due to us being on the back foot for most of the game.
I do have to concede, and I've thought this since our first proper trip over to the shiny citadel, that on Derby Day, the sea of black and white makes a great spectacle as an away fan.
This is totally off (whatever this topic this is) topic but I really do love people from both sides of the City giving it large to the other teams fans and then spotting a friend/family member and suddenly waving to them in the friendliest terms ever. Could anyone from outside Hull really explain that?

The Derby is what sets us aside. How great is it. Yep, the bragging rights are ours for now, but I am sure they will be yours again. I was loving (a few) non proper city fans jibes to me. They can only dream as can many of what we have. A proper city sporting rivarly. A proper one. How good is that.
Ps I hope you wallow and die in misery especially cockayne
