If Hull FC reckon they've turned the circle, let them think it. It was probably one of their best performances of the season and an indifferent one from ourselves yet the difference is 2 penalties. Also, it's easy to blame the man in the middle but we had 3 penalties I think all night! I refuse to believe Hull were only offside twice in 80minutes! But...

Iron out the silly knock ons, regroup and refocus for next week.

There was nothing between the sides tonight, Hull edged it with Houghton and Horne ruling the roost, however gutting I am, I know it could have easily ended in a draw.

Pick yourselves up guys, and hopefully bring it all back on in the play-offs.

Oh, and Wigan/Warrington follow that, tonight proves once again why it is the best 'derby'. Fantastic game.

That was no were near our best performance of the season. For a start both our wins against St Helens were better, espeically the first one and the second one was easily better than tonight as well.

Hull KR were out played tonight in a spirted performance which both teams can walk away head high from.

We desperately need our play makers back, our execution was very poor at times - we should and could have score more points. To be fair though, I probably should pay more credit to Hull KR's defence which continues to be fantastic.

From a neutral point of view, Rovers have entertained me royally in the last six days. Perfect rugby on Friday, and then gripping stuff tonight. Intense game, a good portion of biff, and a great ending (although not for you, I suppose).

I really enjoyed watching that match. Sorry that you lost but well done to your lads for their part in producing a cracking derby for the neutral! And the biff was excellent.

Hull were deserving winners - they were able to raise the intensity of their play. It is difficult to do it week in, week out and Rovers weren't able to replicate the levels they reached against Leeds.
Nothing fundamentally wrong with Rovers display, just Hull were better on the night. They've only lost once at home this season and have good shot at top 4, so despite what some of their own fans seem to think, they aren't bad team at all this year.

You take nothing from a derby game except the points. Emotions run high and players should not need to be motivated, sometimes it means a very poor game other times you get a nail biter to the end and we have had two of those this season.

Rovers finishing the stronger in the last 10 or so has heartened me also.

A few more minutes and we probably would have broken through.

A few more minutes and we may have got our finishing right.

The winning margin? Yes, very easy.
