Post subject:  quote'a etc maybe need 2 half backs not one
Having read a fair few threads over the last few weeks, webster is going but a few weeks back dobson was homesick. If this is the case are the board really cutting back?
Who would we get to come in as 2 halfbacks would be needed?

Just a thought, i dont believe everything i read on here but is there 2 decent halfbacks out there?

And by the way, Newton's off as well, he's that upset about having his ring taken earlier this year that he's off to the bunnies to win the NRL next year.

Big cull at rovers in the off season with plenty of cash to spend on the cap. Depends whether the board decide to operate at full cap next year:

webster (£100k?)
briscoe? (£80-100k?)
mills (£40k)
galea (£100k)

Anyone else? Could be up to £1/2m to spend

Apparently Hull's players play for only the love of their club and the experience of playing in front of their adoring and passionate fans :D

An educated guess based on press speculation, average salaries and likely salaries for internationally capped players.

Under the cap I believe that the club can spend up to £1.5m on their top 20 players and a further £100k on other squad players (may have changed no), so an average salary for a first choice player is £75k. My figures won't be far off

Understandable. Whereas anyone entering east hull only does so for a massive premium and a full set of innoculations (and a house west of the city) :wink:
