Post subject:  where would you put the magic weekend?
if the magic weekend is to stay, and i think we all know it will where would you host it?

i personally like the concept of all the games in a weekend at one venue but not the distance needed to travel to it. (i havent been once to cardiff or edinburgh). i think it should be in the heartland at somewhere like elland road. 40 odd thousand seat, nearer to us all. can travel to and from in a day if needed, and a full house i reckon.

thoughts?

Not a million miles to travel for most, plenty to do, good night out :DRUNK: big enough stadium, plenty of places to stay for the weekend.

i agree with the st james's park idea. near enough to most clubs, good ground, top night out.

If it was st james's it would have to move in date as well. Couldn't see Newcastle Utd (or the premier league) letting RL use it during the football season.

Yup.

The 'Magic Weekend' is a tired concept that offers nothing to the game in general both in terms of expansion and exposure. The sight of Murreyfield looking deserted for two days whilst the cream of British RL strut their stuff is nothing short of embarrassing.
