Yes strange as it may seem that derby defeat seems to have done us some favours. The whole team is playing brilliantly now. We seem we can now score on every attack. What the hell has happened has something been put in their tea. Shame we cant play Hull again next week.

Having watched the derby game again on TV I feel Rovers played better in that game than they were given credit for and indeed it provided a platform for the improved form of the last 2 games.

Yes the team struggled to find a cutting edge near the line but really Rovers had much the better of the game on the whole.

There were 3 key decisions which all went Hull's way and if any of those had favoured Rovers then the result is different. If either of those 2 Hull ball stealing incidents were noticed or if Murrell's tiny knock on had not been noticed then Rovers win the game.

Actually if the officials had got all those 3 decisions right Rovers win the game - but also if they had got all 3 wrong Rovers win the game. So Rovers were unlucky by any standards.

That's how it goes and Rovers possibly got the rub last year so I'm not complaining.

But Hull are actually very fortunate they don't now find themselves 4 clear points behind Rovers in the league table. They would be if it were not for their good fortune from the officials in the derby game.

I was thinking that, our dire attacking performance against the dullers seems to have spurred us into life, all of a sudden we have runners and support for those runners, decent ball in hand speed and more than one point of attack.

And the best of all, playing the worse team in SL by a million miles for your back up game at Easter. Every other side would have chosen to play Quins second, forget that they didnt play 4 days earlier.

You've only played 5 away games compared to Hulls 6 and 3 of your 4 away games have been at clubs in the bottom four.
