What does everyone make of the rugby now we have a chance to watch it every weekend, how does it compare to super league???

A couple of things i've noticed is

1. 9 out of 10 play the balls, actually seem to be played, ie, the ball is actually touched backwards with the foot!!

2. The amount of 1 up rugby has surprised me. too much of it and not as expansive as super league in my opinion. Admittedly they do it quicker, stronger and better than we do but it does seem to be very one dimensional at times in my opinion. Seems to work at international level against us tho

That said i have still enjoyed it been on.

What does everyone else think?

TBH can't see the point in 2 refs on the pitch, can't see the benefits. The play the ball doesn't look that much faster!

I've never had much interest in the NRL if I'm honest, other than a few clips on the net I've never watched it. However I have watched almost every game over the last few weeks, I can't believe how fast it is compared to SL.
I'm still not sure about the 2 ref thing, the commentary is great & there's alot more eye candy on the pitch

You have got to be joking, the games in the NRL are played at twice the speed (it seems) than SL, All the Wigan team are taking knitting lessons, they may as well do something whilst waiting for the Ref to shout "MOVE",
They should be named the Wigan Eiderdowns (spelling), having taken over that title from Hudersfield last year and Leeds for the last 4 years,

Please note where their coaches learned their trade, The coaches from the NRL, are miles ahead of their SL counterparts, especially when it comes to bending the rules.
Rant over.

We'll have to pay for it soon :(

But we will get an NRL Weekly Round Up on SS1, and they have the SOO games and the GF too

See Fitzhenry is playing well for Wests, pity he was a quota player, he would have been much better at hooker this season than Murrell or Fisher
