Had a very poor game today but I think people have to take into account it was his first game back after an injury lay off so he was obviously going to be a fraction off the pace physically and in turn his speed of thought when he needed to make 5th tackle plays etc. Had we had Cooke today we would have won the game no doubt but he's gone now and if we are to give young players a fair crack, then we need to give I'Anson needs a sustained run in the team to give him chance to find his feet and we'll see what he's truely capable of (whether he's good enough or not). He may or may not cut the cheese as a SL off-half and if he doesn't then I'm sure the club will address the problem during the off-season. But in the mean time if he's continually put under pressure by the fans then we won't see the best of him and that's not in the club's best interests... |
