what does he say in his half time talks? we cant seem to turn over a first half deficit, he needs to start using the hair dryer treatment IMO, shake them up at half time because whatever hes saying or doing now just isnt working is it. we go in at half time after a half with nothing to show and come back out with same mentality. |

i would have thought it will be something along the lines off stick to the game plan it will come. morgs seems to base his plans on squeezing the opp until something gives ,i dont think hes the type to panic into making decisions . he usually gets it right when it matters . i dont think there should be any hunting down of morgans tactics or team talks,we all know the way he plays the game and so do the players. applying pressure usually does the trick . some you win and some you loose. come the end of the season i think we will be in the play offs which is all that matters . when push comes to shove morgs knows his stuff.. |

JM was a breath of fresh air at Rovers and deserves all the plaudits that come his way but his safety first, formulaic rugby will never win any pots at the top table..I assume he doesnt trust the present of set of players to play any other way because the rugby we played in our promotion year was breathtaking at times and contained much originality yet has been long discarded. It is hard to swallow sometimes that we are at the same cap spend as the top end clubs, the vast quality in difference "when it matters" is head scratching, some serious money has been wasted since our first season SL heroics..he has another the chance to build a "new" team next year but failure to make a dent then will pose some serious questions... The derby , perhaps the "when it matters" time that Morgan has got right so far, will be interesting now we have lost the common factor linking our recent dominance in said matches... |

Fair few assumptions being made. |

We still have contracted players that we had to offer perhaps either extended contracts or inflated contracts to in order to get them to sign during our first year of SL. Plus we have not had the benefit of young players coming through the ranks on lower cost contracts enabling "star" wages for world class players to be brought in. I don't think we'll be truly on par with the top teams in terms of value from the cap until, at least, next year or the year after. |

I often see JM at half-time and believe me, the emotion, frustration (when things aren't going to plan), and passion for Rovers shown on his face is certainly there and without doubt he can give the 'hair dryer' half-time team talk. |

And without wishing to be too negative or deferential, when did mid-table in SL become 'not good enough'. We should aspire to be as good as possible, but delusions of grandeur most often lead to disappointment and angst. After a long run of fantastic progress, we are going through an 'only' okayish spell. Shouldn't be too much of a drain on people's reserves of stoicism. |
