Only just found out today that the club shop no longer accepts RSG discount. Bit out of order IMO considering what the RSG has done for the club over the years. Thoughts? P.S. Can still get Club Rovers points for purchases though (whatever use they are ![]() |

In my opinion people join the RSG in order to help the club financially and not in order to get a 10% discount in the shop and actually deprive the club of money. |

Sorry RBA but I think you are overestimating alot of people there. Many people filled forms in while queueing for shirts/passes etc to gain their 10% discount. In the end the club lose out, less members ultimately means less money going into the club. |

Not only that but getting 10% discount by buying plenty of merchandise must be better then rarely buying anything. It's wierd, but I'd say I used to spend more at the old shop opp Park then I do now, probably partly down to the attitude of the club over the last 12-18 months e.g. the Kooga shirt fiasco. The shop is stocked well, but there just isn't anything that stands out, most the training gear is almost identical to last year's, but with an extra sponsor on. Anyway that's my rant over, sorry. ![]() |

The club were losing out with the discount on passes and merchandise given to the RSG members. It far outweighed the membership fee and had to stop really. The RSG now has taken a different route by halving the membership fee and appealing to people's better nature to support it, which I quite like the idea of. |

The RSG are now very much putting their efforts into sponsoring the youth development of the club. They pay the wages of two fringe players, while still sponsoring Shaun Briscoe. There is still a committee working very hard to raise funds but obviously this will be harder with fewer members and I think it's a shame after all that the RSG has done for the club that there is now no benefit to the members from the club. |

The whole reason i havent joined, i would not get anything out of this at all. Yes its to help the club and im all for that - but with some the the things theyve brought out that ive spent my money on takes that money away, aka "club rovers" we really are not getting any benifits from anything we join. Including RSG disappointingly. ![]() |
