I know Colbon took the honours with his hat trick and try saving tackle on Eastman and Dobbo's kicking won us the game but thought Mick Vella was back to his leadership best. 1) Vella 2) Colbon 3) Lovegrove |

I agree about Vella, a lot better performance this week, hopefully he's managed to shake of his injury for good. |

Galea got MOTM. I would of given it to Colbon just for his hat trick and chase back. 1) colbon 2)Lovegrove 3)Vella |

Lovegrove was outstanding, best prop on the park and laid a great foundation down for the team. Galea being present changed our whole style of play, made us far more potent with ball in hand. Vella's 2nd half was very good and a much needed boost to how he has been performing, maybe Clinton coming and the emergence of Watts has helped ease the pressure on him. Big wraps to Jason netherton as well, his defence goes very unnoticed but he seems a far better player this year than last. |

I agree with lovegrove i thought he played so well always making yards in the tackle. Also Vella was back to his best i thought which was good to see but I guess you should give it to Colburn as anyone scoring a Hat trick against Saints should be up there, especially as he is a wigan lad |

Tough, tough call to make on this one. Colbon so deserved his hat-trick for the hard work he has put in since the start of the season. His work ethic is second to none and takes the tough hit-ups virtually every set! Plus his finishing was excellent, could of had another if Welham had passed to him in the first half when we got on top of them. What a huge impact Galea had on the team, we looked confident in throwing long balls out and playing more expansive on our left hand side attack. Not sure why in the second half we tended to abandon the more flowing game, it was working well. Damn have we missed him! Lovegrove was outstanding! punishing runs and some huge defence, I expect him to carry on improving when the grounds harden up more. Mick Vella is starting to look alot fitter and will be upto full match fitness very soon. On the verge of being back to his best, I never had any doubts in him. Another 3/4 weeks and his new partner in crime Clinton will be fully up to speed. Dobson cant have been far off MOTM either, won us the game with his goal kicking. |
