 Some well deserved positive news that the red and whites can be proud of, just in case anyone thinks differently this is the Audio Commentary specifically designed to assist visually impaired spectators and not a commentary supplied by a radio station which is not.

Well done to everyone concerned and lets hope more Clubs follow the lead with this.

Very nice of you to say so.

Just out of genuine curiosity, how (in very general, basic terms) does this sort of commentary differ from, for example, a typical radio commentary?
More descriptive, less opinionated digression, perhaps?

Probably far less inane self opinionated rambling I should think.

The audio commentary is more descriptive - for example where the ball carrier is, where they've been tackled, which direction the players facing, their position from the try/touch line etc - I apologise to RH & KCFM presenters who read this, but our commentary is rugby related, as opposed to 'useful' comments such as 'what colour boots the player is wearing' or 'a description of a players new hairstyle' etc etc,

Ps Thanks to Gill Johnson (Rugby League Disabled Supporters Group Chair) for the original post, Gill does a lot of work that goes un-noticed by the majority of rugby league supporters
