Given that times are tough and this is, I believe, only the 2nd most popular forum for Rovers fans, I suspect this is something of a long-shot - but there is no harm in asking. Would anybody like to contribute to this board sponsoring a player for 2010? Given the ridiculously good value of the Roving far and wide membership, I can spare a few quid - if anybody feels the same for this or other reasons, reply below or PM me. If it looks like it might have legs, I'll bump the thread up occasionally, if not I'll let it sink.
If it did happen, I'd try to arrange it so you could pay the club directly, rather than send money to an internet stranger, such as myself.

Don't have a problem with this, who was you thinking of, maybe one of the younger lads coming through to give them some sense of our confidence in them.

Agreed - more realistically affordable too. Beaumont would be the obvious choice from the list on the link, I guess.

Failing that, Jason Netherton as been brilliant for us, i know he isn't 'new' but its a way of showing our appreciation for all his 110% efforts he has put in when we have had our backs to the wall.

Many Rovers fans that use the internet are involved in the sponsorship of Ben Cockayne mate but good luck if you attempt to raise the money needed.
