But then again they have always had a bag full of chips on their shoulders about anything to do with Hull/Yorkshire. . Nail on head there i lived over there about 20 years ago, they hated anything from the north bank and RL was never heard of. I remember tthe GB team training at the loacl school in 82 and there was only me and my dad there to watch . Played against the Rabbitohs a couple of times, nice enough set of lads but they only did that to keep themselves fit in the union off season |

I remember similar negative comments and furore coming from our City when Paul Dixon Motors sponsored GTFC and not Hull City. |

Grimsby is a Hole and the Football team is dire, putting a logo on a SL Shirt is a chance to have your brand/product put on something that has national exposure, |

I am from Cleethorpes/ Grimsby. Unfortunatly Rugby League is not in the fore front in those towns. Its not a crime,a shame really.I do try and promote the game with my aquantencies, but it falls on stony ground. I think the bad feeling between the towns stems from the fishing industry rivalry.Calling Grimsby a hole is a little unfair,it has its good and bad places like anywhere else. Mind you,I do feel a bit miffed about them attaching themselves to Rovers,oh the embarressment. |
