Some good letters today in HDM

Apparently Rovers have been fined by the RFL for filing the accounts late

Another one claims our average attendance was as high as it was due to Hull being poor

I haven't read them but would be surprised if the pens in the west aren't already out for next weeks edition considering the East stand extension and the new sponsorship deal has been unveiled. :D

The moron who does the letters page obviously chooses his letters to get responces from both sides of the city to bitch at each other. The letters page could and should be used for a bit more serious questioning about all the sport in the city good and bad, praise and criticism about the clubs as well as humerous banter. There must only be about six people who write in its the same sad names every week

IIRC the HDM editor (can't remember who/when) was considering binning the letters page but relented because he was bombarded with letters about "gagging the public", "freedom of speech" etc
Funny thing was, I recognised most of those writers names as regulars. About six of them iirc.

Once upon a time people used to write sensible and constructive letters to the sports page. Maybe they still do, but the only ones which seem to get published are from idiots and wind up merchants.
