Hodgson's gone to Rovers on a promise of first team rugby, hasn't he? What's happening with Fisher?

Recognise a "hook" when you see one!

Your the one with the quotes stored up.
Produce that one.

I'd have thought Netherton would be well ahead of Watts in the pecking order, at the moment.

Backs:
Briscoe, Colbon, Webster, Welham, Fox.
Cockayne and Ratu as cover. Mariano coming through.

Halfbacks:
Cooke and Dobson.
I'anson as cover. Spaven coming through.

Props:
Vella. Then Wheeldon and Lovegrove. Mills?. Watts and Beaumont coming through. Utility forward Netherton to be needed here more than the 2nd row.
Hookers:
Fisher and Hodgson. Cockayne, Murrell and I'anson to cover.
Back row:
Newton, Galea, Murrell, Cook, Walker, with Taylor coming through.

Think it looks strong apart from the front row. Vella is top notch and Fisher underrated but could really do with Mills at least getting back to his steady, if unspectacular, form of 2008 and Watts starting to fulfil the potential he showed then.
I notice Welham made the RLW team of the season, btw. Well done to him on that.

I know how much you Rovers fans like people that exaggerate, so I dressed it up a bit. What he actually said was: "I was offered a chance to stay at Hull FC but I decided to go Rovers because I think I'll have an opportunity to play more first-team rugby.

Seriously, though, Fisher is 1st choice hooker (in the regular season, anyway, play-off requirements are a bit different, apparently). Then there's Cockayne, who is senior in squad terms to Hodgson, and now the consensus seems to be that Murrell will be first pick. 4th choice hooker is effectively what he was at Hull. :?
