Was talking to some friends the other day about how old we were when we started watching our teams & what we could remember. Im afraid Im too young to remember Craven Park, even though my parents took my brother & myself a few times. The first game I can remember watching & I suppose got me hooked was at The New Craven Park against Trafford Borough. I believe it was the first game at the new stadium, I loved everything about it, I have no idea who scored, who played well, who was MOM all I know is we won 48-8 & I wanted to go again next week to watch them, to learn the songs (minus the swearing of course, I was only 10 ) & shout & cheer them on. Zook Emma & Andy Thompson were my favourites, Zook because he came to my school in his fire engine! & Tommo because he worked with my dad I remember running on the pitch at the end of the season singing Disco Dancing Rovers because we had won promotion. |

I remember the expectation that we would beat everyone. Wigan, Bradford Cas... when all these teams where top dogs. Being packed in the popular side week in week out and the tremendous atmosphere when we played a cup game against Warrington!.. things don't change much |

First game I remember going to was against Rochdale Hornets in the early 90's. Rovers won the game easily, 60-70 points i think. There was a pitch invasion at the end of the game but have no idea why, maybe a player retirement or something |

I cant remember my first game but would have been about 1963 when my dad started to take me remeber watching the 1964 Cup final against Widnes and the great try Alan Burwell scored. I also remeber watching an A team game when they announced the signing of Frank Foster over the tannoy system. |

About 1996, Rovers played Hunslet. Jet and Lightning from Gladiators were there. |

First few memories, I remember going to a cup final game(Yorkshire Cup?) at Headingley in about 75/76 and we lost to Leeds. Then remember us winning the Floodlit Trophy against St's,and the next year we lost it to Fc at Boulevard and I clearly remember Fc fans burning a Rovers scarf in threepenny stand, And then of course the famous 10-5 win at Wembley in 1980. |
