Hiya folks,

I posted this a while back and I'm just bumping it as I've got exactly a year to go.

I'm going to be doing Kilimanjaro next year in aid of the Dreams Come True charity, who work hard to fulfil the wishes of seriously and terminally ill children.

I hope you'll support me in this and many thanks to the people who already have.

Great challenge to do. I did it a couple of years back. If you need any advise just give me a shout. Tough, but worth while both personally and obviously for your cause. Good luck.

Hi Folks,

Just bumping this one now as the climb is less than two months away. Already raised nearly £2000 so please help me on my way to hitting £2500 (or more).
Thanks very much.

Bumping this one for the last time folks as I set off next Tuesday.

Thanks to everyone who have already helped. The appeal has gone really well and I'm hoping to reach £3899 which would be a £1 for every meter I climb.

Just to let you know I made it to the summit at 1150 on 5th October. I'll post some photos when I get home including (shock horror!) a Hull FC fan and Hull KR fan together at the summit.

Hardest and most rewarding thing I've ever done.

Thanks for your support folks. The donation page will be open for the next couple of months if anyone is interested.

Here's some piccies:

Image
Just reached the summit. I'll admit I was blubbing like a girl behind those shades.

Image
The whole team except Nick, the guide who was behind the camera.

Image
As promised I took a Rovers flag up there. (2009 but what the hell!).

Image
...and finally my black and white mate Karl Gay helped me fly the Dreams Come True banner which was the whole reason I was up there.

Hope you like 'em. :D

Hi Everyone.

Just to say that my Just Giving page has now closed. In total £4879 plus £509 gift aid was raised for Dreams Come True, which I'm over the moon with.
So once again thank you so much to all the people who chipped in and made this a success and also to the mods for allowing me to post the thread.
