How disappointed was I when following the report in a 'national' that City was in the do-do that the Hull Daily Duffen had an article the size Phil Brown's white patch.

After FC having problems and the obvious Spanish Inquisition of Neil and the board at Rovers there's naff all about City's impending demise!

If the Editor can chase the rugby clubs around the town in a cheap attempt to look like a poor mans 'News of the Screws' then the t*rd should do the same to the football club...

I'll get my news online now.. no disrespect to Charlie Mullen but Yet again the Mail nails it's Amber and Black to the mast!

As we all know Basil , you don't get news from a newpaper now - it's just opinion and comment.

If you want the latest news about Rovers check on the various websites or look for new signing at chinese off Tweendykes. :)
Far more reliable.

the HDM are scared of upsetting City, their circulation took a huge dip when Pearson banned them years ago...and they are a far bigger club now.

I agree the media dance around City , not that i am knocking Hull City at all, but the media seeem all to eager to report unsavioury goings on or anything negative about both rugby teams , however when it comes to City it's a totally different matter.

No doubt we will never be a number one sport in the city, but the banter between the fans and clubs is in my eyes unrivalled in SL, we are the only true derby.

Take sporstalk all they seem to harp on about is football, Burnsy almost cracks one off at times

You have a very valid point there. The mail would crucify either of our clubs over the slighest inkling of an issue. But then it's a rugby town and designed to sell papers, noone gives a fook about them pansyballers

All the HDM's sporting "journalists" are embarrassingly in the pockets of the clubs they report on. They are neither eloquent, nor independent, nor challenging and are basically used by the clubs to create the stories they want, as when they do otherwise the clubs take the huff. It is typical that it takes a national paper to unearth something on finances of Hull's premiership football club and the HDM pretty much just prints City's rebuttal statement. Any sporting journalist should know more about the team than just its on the field aspects and not be afraid to publish them for risk of the club withdrawing access privileges, but that's how thing seem to operate in the city.
