here`s a thought people (dangerous i know) should the rfl introduce a automatic match banning system for yellow and red cards yellow = 1 match red = 2 match in an attempt to clean the game up a bit, so far after 26 rounds there have been 30 yellows dished and 3 reds comments please |

No-the refs copout and put everything on report rather than make a decision as it is. This would only make it worse |

the idea of the 1 and 2 matches is good but no, not automatic as offences to recieve these cards are different and video evidence also needs to be taken into account first if its available. one of the yellows i disagree with is if some big fugly prop punches someone for no reason and they decide to hit back as most people would its usually a case of them having to walk too. |

The system as it stands is ok. What lets it down is the failure of the RFL to apply it equally to players from all clubs. |

2008 yellow = 61 and red = 13 personally i think the lack of cards shown this year is down to the lack of enforcement on the pitch this year. |

it wouldnt work players might want to get a yellow or a red card just so they can miss a game that is coming up ie like playing a hard team or they might need a weekend off so the can get a card to get it i think this happens in football |

The report system is terrible. If there is an on-field incident that features in the ref's report it should be automatically looked at by the panel. Sometimes things go on report because a ref hasn't seen them, but a touch judge has, thats a cop out, if the touch judge see's something it should be taken as correct and the player should be punished. For example last years final eliminator. Lee Smith is seen to kick Carmont?? in the head by Ganson. Ganson blows the penalty and on sky can be heard to say "Stand there!! I saw it and thats unacceptable" He then places the incident on report... Why?! He clearly states he saw it, and he didn't like it why is it not a card? I'm sure everyone knows of incidents like this, that was just the first example to spring to mind. |
