where would you prefer to see us finish in the table?

i will highlight who i think will be winners in each game in bold
if we base it on current league table then its

qpo1 leeds v hudds
qpo2 sts v kr
epo1 wigan vs cas
epo2 wakefield v cats

this would then mean 2nd roud of
psf1 hudds v wigan
psf2 kr vs wakefield

this would then mean semis(depending on who leeds decide to play in this round)
leeds v wigan
sts v kr

final call is hard to call depending on if leeds choose a team or not
mmmmm mouthwatering possibilities

but i would like to beckon a leeds v kr final as we don`t have the saints hoodoo over us any more

3rd is, by definition, better than 4th. It also gives a slim chance of picking your opponent in the semi-final and would likely mean Saints rather than Leeds first up, which I think is the marginally 'easier' option. Beyond that a surprise result can throw all the predictions and routes to the final out of the window, so I wouldn't worry too much about. If we lost the first game I'd probably want to avoid Wigan, who are looking good for 5th, so 3rd would be best again.
Didn't think I'd be posting that at the beginning of the season, in all honesty, or even when we had that ropey spell after the Wire cup Q-final. :D

as things stand we would avoid wigan alltogether untill a possible final, and the only way we would get team choice is for hudds to beat leeds in the first round and we beat st in the first round..

i have used the play off format table on kr site , and thats how i work out missing wigan

I don't care who we'd have to play, I want us to finish 3rd. Similar to how Hull fans have been discussing the "real wooden spoon" (basically discounting the 2 promoted sides) I would be over the moon if we finished as 3rd (best team that isn't Saints or Leeds!)

The strange thing is that I belive we can still finish 5th.

Think Leeds are the team to avoid on the way to the final

I agree, but we owe 'em one! We've been boasting about being 2-0 up against Saints, yet it could finish 2-2 :(

THE Rugby Football League have confirmed that if Rovers finish third, their first round play-off match at St Helens or Leeds will take place on September 19. If they finish fourth they play on September 18.

Oh imagine the outcry from the RFL should both Sts and Leeds lose the 1st and 2nd rounds of the playoffs!!!

But we can only hope.
