Post subject:  Hull soldier killed in Afghanistan
Very sad news from Afghanistan tonight, Private Jonathan Young, 18, from Orchard Park was killed in action whilst on foot patrol in Helmand Province alongside a comrade. Condolences to his family and friends.

Agreed! And can i just say Condolences to all soldiers and famlies giving thier lives and fighting for our country. More balls than i have! and very much respected!

Well said. Our armed forces show so much bravery! My heartfelt condolences to the poor family, it's hard to even contemplate what they are going through. RIP.

Thank You Private Young and Rest In Peace.

I am currently reading a book called "An Ordinary Soldier" written by Doug Beattie and he basically tells it how it is from serving in Northern Ireland to Afghanistan, pulling no punches.

My heartfelt condolances go to Private Youngs family and friends.
