The rules for 2010 are so at the moment we have...... Quote:At least 7 home grown players. Kris Welham, Scott Spaven, Liam Watts, Scott Wheeldon??, Scott Taylor, Rhys Lovegrove?? So we need one promotion, or keep one of Esders and I'anson Quote:No more than 5 quota players. Jake Webster, Michael Dobson, Michael Vella, Ben Galea, Clint Newton Quote:No more that 6 overseas trained players inc quota players. Ben Fisher?? No overseas signings unless someone moves out? Quote:Rest of squad to be from players trained within same federation.
Shaun Briscoe, Ben Cockayne, Peter Fox, Liam Colbon, Chev Walker, Paul Cooke, Nick Fozzard, Jason Netherton, Scott Murrell |

Shaun Briscoe, Ben Cockayne, Peter Fox, Liam Colbon, Chev Walker, Paul Cooke, Nick Fozzard, Jason Netherton, Scott Murrell Club trained: I'anson, Welham, Esders, Spaven, Watts, Wheeldon and Taylor. I'anson and Esders are OOC, so would have to be replaced by players from the reserves or academy. I hope at least one more player will be promoted in any case. Quota: Vella is Maltese, so not quota. Depending on contract renewal timing he might qualify as fed-trained (bizarrely). Fisher must have an EU passport (Scottish? ), or we'd be over the quota this year. Again, possibly fed-trained (like Stanley Gene, Makali Aizue, Willie Manu). If Fitzhenry leaves, I think we can bring in a quota player to replace him. |

Possibly. Haynes, Latus, L. Welham, Snowden? Not that I've seen much of them. Would the first even qualify as club-trained? I'd rather have a few more young players training full time, than 1 expensive signing from the NRL. A policy that won't sell a lot of season tickets, of course - but maybe some extra depth and competition for places would be good and RFL brownie points (sorry - licence criteria), won't go amiss for the next round of franchising. |

Im uncertain on Rhys Lovegroves status. He came over when he was 19/20? And has spent 2 years on an Academy contract, im sure this makes him count on the home grown quota, does it not? |

Would be very surprised if any of them were promoted to the first team squad. Pretty sure Rich Beaumont will be rewarded with a FT contract and with Scott Taylor and Frankie Mariano already promoted during this season i think that'll be about it. |

Dont think he was given a full time deal. Just selected for that game. |

He has been training with the first team as i understand it, though as you say he may not as yet have a FT deal. IMO the three i mentioned will be the only ones promoted from this seasons reserves and with Ryan Esders getting a renewed deal that would get Rovers the necessary numbers to meet the criteria. Wheeldon and Lovegrove don't count as homegrown. |
