Blagging rights, blah, blah, blah - viewed from a perspective very similar to the one they had in 2007 (4th vs 11th), it does seem to be more about the 2 points. That win keeps us 3 points clear in 4th, with only Wigan, Cas and Wakey realistically capable of catching us, barring a catastrophic collapse. If all 3 did, we'd be down to 7th though, so looking ahead: Cas and Wakey play today, so one is bound to drop points... but we play them both away before the end of the season, in what will be crucial games. Cas (A) - The last time Rovers won a SL game in West Yorkshire, Mike Smith and Tommy Gallagher were in the team! This could have a massive bearing on our final position. We have an extra day to recover, so I hope their game today is a really close, hard-fought affair. Hopefully Saints will do us a favour when they host Wigan Saints (H) - Normally you expect nowt against Saints. They are struggling with injuries though, and have a cup semi-final while Rovers geta week off. Salford (A) - We have a better team and more to play for. Should be 2 points. Wire (H) - As I've written off Salford, I'll dismiss our chances here, in the interests of balance. Unless they are coming off the cup-final. WAkey (A) -Will be another important trip west, maybe we'll be chasing 3rd or maybe just trying to get a home tie in the play-offs. On current form we'd probably only get 4 points. We can do better though and with the play-offs approaching, we need to. 6 points and we will be top 4. ![]() |

I genuinely fear for next week at Cas because it looks as not havig a week off is really taking it's toll - we need the 2 weeks off badly. After the weeks off for the CC semis and final, I'm sure we'll see the return of the zip we saw earlier in the season and then we can mount a challenge in the play-offs... |

I'm not confident about playing Cas on their turf. Hopefully we'll have Shaun Briscoe back as his absence hits us hard. |

Agreed, but he did look a bit out of it. Got to be extra careful with head injuries, of course, so he might miss out. |

Hindsight always being 20/20 I suspect JM would have regretted not having Charlie in the squad. It would have freed Fitzy to rotate with Fisher at hooker. Hopefully he will choose him for the Cas game. |

As a wigan fan i think you mite have 4 place sown up after your win over hull fc, last nite was our chance of you droping points altho you do have saints and wire to play just like us so think you mite just finish above us. |
