ROCK REVIVAL - THUNDER IN THE TOWER
I am VERY pleased to announce that Rock Revival has a new city centre Rock night coming very soon, after finishing at The Welly i am constantly being asked "When are we going to get a Big Club Night back" well I’m pleased to say the wait is over
Hull's biggest & longest running Rock night will be taking over Hull’s biggest and most exciting state of the art venue, the legendary Tower Nightclub, Anlaby Road, on the 2nd Saturday of every month starting July 11th at 10pm - 3am,
The New Tower is a 950 capacity venue & the new owners have made some very big changes they have installed a very powerful 10k Ohm Concert Rig PA system! which provides crystal clear sound that you can not only hear but feel as well , perfect for a Rock Night, but thats not all, not only is there state of the art sound, lighting and visuals it also boasts 3 rooms, 2 lasers, projector screens, full Aztec decor (see pics below) a V.I.P area overlooking the dance floor ,chill out areas, a fully decked out smoking terrace and free parking, Hell there’s even a Waterfall in the place, the venue has changed beyond all recognition & can only be described as Plush (stone temple pilots) it really MUST be seen
The new owners also feel its better to keep prices low & make the venue & it’s events more affordable for everybody, so drinks will not be at inflated Nightclub prices, in fact you will be able to get a pint of lager for the same price as Ringside £2.50 & entry fee for Rock Revival – Thunder In The Tower will be £4 with flyer before 11pm & £5 On The Door thereafter
I'm also pleased to say that i have been fortunate enough to be able to book one of the best local upcoming True Metal Bands for our first night & that is Bloodstock Battle Of The Bands runners up, The Mighty Heat-Ray, the guys have promised to make this an unforgettable night & throw in some covers of Classic Metal tracks for your enjoyment, anybody that has seen Heat-Ray live & in full flow before will know the guys always give it their all, Heat -Ray will hit the stage at approx 11pm & play for around an Hour, the music before & after will obviously be supplied by yours truly & will follow the tried & tested formula of the last 6yrs of Rock Revival nights at various venues across the city , i.e. music reaching as far back as the late 60's Cream/Hendrix/Doors to 70`s Classic & Glam Rock, 80`s Hair Metal & Thrash, 90`s Grunge to Today’s New Modern & Sleazy Hard Rock bands & everything else in between , no genre will be ignored (except black & death metal) but even then it’s quite possible you could hear the odd track, as always it will be 100% request driven, this is a night for you the Rock/Metal fan & you can place your requests either here on this very forum or in person on the night
For Those travelling to the monthly Rock Revival -Thunder In The Tower, as i know a few are, it couldn’t be easier as The New Tower is situated right next door to the train station with plenty of accommodation within 5 mins walking distance
I would just like to add that while this is not a money making venture for Rock Revival (I just wanna rock) The New Tower is a business & as such needs to make a profit to be able to keep bringing you these rock events & the bands you want to see, so if you feel as i do that Hull badly needs a large clean/upmarket music venue especially one that is willing to support the Rock scene, then it's essential we have your support, so with that in mind i would ask all those with Myspace & Facebook accounts to let all their friends know & in turn ask them to let their friends know , The new owners have some very big ideas for The New Tower & we can all help those ideas become a reality & enjoy some great entertainment along the way, you know it makes sense.
Once again Rock Revival - "Thunder In The Tower" will arrive at The "New" Tower on Anlaby Road on Saturday July 11th at 10pm - 3am & we are gonna shake The New Tower to it’s very foundations on the 2nd Saturday of every month thereafter
If Rock n' Metal is your thing, your gonna want to spend more than an hour in The “New” Tower

looking at the thread title i thought it was leading to an old kings bylaw throwing the merger between fc and gateshead being illegal and punishable by locking them in the tower

Yes, the KC Stadium (which holds rugby games) is just down the road, and I think there's a banner outside with a rugby player on (maybe Thackery or Horne), so...
