RFL are to give a substantial handout to CC to keep them going, i personally think its a joke , same as they did to Hull FC, when they sold their soul and identity and merged , accepted free handouts and played in a shiny new stadium and fobbed off Gateshead. Are CC really SL material ?, should the RFL help these clubs out?, We did it on our own like a phoenix from the flames, we got where we are today on our own merit . |

Where does it say anywhere that SL are handing cash out ? Any chance that companies will get all the money back your club failed to pay them when you went into CVA ? Old saying that is very true even now People in glass houses should not throw bricks :wink: |

More importantly now that the CC have been publicly shown to be skint by needing RFL help can my thread on clubs struggling be re-opened? It seems I was not trolling after all

I've not seen an announcement that says they are to receive any financial help atall, just an RFL 'task force' being sent down to Wales to offer help. Yes, Rovers got to SL on merit (GF win) - with the help of a rich backer along the way. Just because your 'help' came from a supporter of the club, rather than another source, is not a reason to get all high and mighty. Everyclub at some point has had to rely on some kind of outside help. |

Anyway, as has been pointed out, if the rumours are true and there gaining momentum, Hull KR could be needing similar help within the next few months. You best all get joining there super fan club they have started. Back on topic though, where has this story come from, first I have heard of it. If true, right decision by the RFL IMO. |
