Injured. Unknown how serious. Apparantly had 'movement in his shoulder'.

Scott Murrell also cut his lip and face (from Ferriol's arm leading behaviour). Will be okay for next week.

Do you not think it is about time we let him go. Aizue not picked and him in the squad just isnt fair. Not good enough for SL

Does loads of work in defence, gives away very few penalties and works hard for the team. Underrated player IMO.

Players like Netherton are rarely given praise while playing, its only when they are injured and not playing do you see what they actually contribute. Jason Netherton will never play for GB, but you will be hard pushed to find a player who gives as much, he is the type of player all squads need and I for one hope he gets another contract.

We cannot have a squad of superstars, you need your quiet grafters like Jason.

True fans and appreciators of the game compliment the quiet, hardworking players like jason and wheeldon etc.
Really hope he recovers quickly and can get a new deal

i appreciate he's solid in defence and penalties are rare, i just dont rate him as much more than a squad player, at prop or second row. would probably only have mills below him in pecking order. I do appreciate the workload (i played prop for long enough) but think we could and should have better players on the field. If i'm wrong then fair enough but its my opinion of him. what forums are for i guess

Thats your opinion & I have had my doubts but if you have any of our games recorded when he is playing sit back & watch them (once the initial excitement has worn off) then you will notice how often he is in around the ruck area tidying up or cleaning up the tackles. as has been said a grafter We dont notice much of his work in the excitement of match days as it goes unnoticed most of the time.
